Module 3: Data Collection and Projections

The map created for this week is a reflection of area discrepancies between coordinate systems for the selected counties of Alachua, Escambia, Miami-Dade, and Polk. These counties are highlight in bright colors to give the reader an idea of where these counties are located and a scale bar is shown to give the reader an idea of size in miles. This was honestly probably the worst week for me, I have just been bogged down in other responsibilities that I decided to complete this task all in one night, and I can tell you right now that it was a mistake. I often was frustrated with the program and instructions as they were not update to date with the current program. I actually found that YouTube videos and trial and error worked better for me to complete the task in the module for this week. Sometimes you just want the program to do things the way you think they should be done and not in the way the program actually does them. It is best to take a breather and walk away at that point, you'll probably be more productive later. Here's to another week of GIS!
